13 ,Jan 2026

Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, Chair of the Higher Committee of the Goodwill Campaign, on Wednesday handed over the assistance provided by the Campaign to a number of women who head households in the Jabal Al-Natheef area of Amman.

During the handover at the headquarters of the Jabal Al-Natheef Zakat and Sadaqah Committee, Her Royal Highness affirmed the Campaign’s commitment to supporting its partners in continuing national efforts aimed at improving the living and economic conditions of vulnerable families across the Kingdom.

In the presence of a number of members of the Higher Committee of the Goodwill Campaign, Princess Basma explained that the Campaign, guided by its humanitarian and charitable objectives, works to support families—particularly female-headed households—towards self-reliance through sustainable development interventions such as income-generating projects, which provide stable sources of income and improve their circumstances.

Her Royal Highness commended the support of the Campaign’s partners from various national institutions, and the role of these partnerships in enabling the Campaign to achieve its noble goals, thereby strengthening and entrenching the values of social solidarity. She also praised the role of the Jabal Al-Natheef Zakat and Sadaqah Committee in supporting vulnerable families and the efforts it exerts in this regard.

For his part, the Head of the Jabal Al-Natheef Zakat and Sadaqah Committee, Sayed Abu Shanab, stated that the Committee provides monthly assistance to around 500 families in the Jabal Al-Natheef area, and works to support and assist children from vulnerable families in pursuing university education.

He noted that, through its partnership with the Goodwill Campaign, the Committee looks forward to establishing income-generating projects for women and qualifying and training them to market their products.

Her Royal Highness listened to an overview of the interventions the Campaign will implement in the area in co-operation with its partners, including the provision of basic assistance to target families, as well as distance-learning cards for secondary-school students (Tawjihi).

Princess Basma also visited two homes belonging to vulnerable families in the area and reviewed their living conditions. The Campaign will provide the necessary assistance and improve their living conditions by carrying out comprehensive maintenance of the two homes and providing their essential requirements.
