Projects at ZENID
Each
year, ZENID implements around 25 - 30 projects with a range of
development partners. ZENID values this operational role, which creates
an opportunity to demonstrate the linkages between theory and practice.
ZENID draws on the rich experience gained from projects and field
operations to ensure that its training is up-to-date and grounded in
the realities of the field, and is tailored to the real needs of the people it serves. The summary below illustrates ZENID's project work.

ensuring the rights of all citizens to access and enjoy essential services
(e.g. cash assistance, health insurance and health care, environmental
services, quality education, shelter, safety & security, justice etc) as
well as the right to access their fundamental human rights (e.g. freedom from
domestic violence, right to own and inherit property, rights to nationality,
right to freedom of expression and association, right of mobility).

Building on
the achievements of the Core Groups and the lessons learnt from Makana 2, to build
the capacity of stakeholders who play a role in promoting women's rights at the
local level. The stakeholders include women’s groups, CBOs, service providers
and municipalities; both officers and staff. The capacity building is achieved
mainly through the delivery of short training programs, mentoring and guidance
