Project purpose
This project aims to
highlight the issues of active citizenship, volunteerism and responsive media
programmes that reflect the real issues of local communities at the local level.
The project will
promote access to equal opportunities to Jordanian youth to contribute to democratic principles of
representation, accountability and transparency and participate in local
decision making process which affect their present and future livelihoods.

Main components
First
Component:
Create a
cadre of young people able and eager to advocate for youth rights and to
promote a more participatory style of local governance that is transparent and
accountable to local needs with their peers at the local level.
Second Component:
Plan and implement at least nine youth led initiatives that reflect the needs
of the young women and men in their communities.
Third Component:
Produce a radio program on youth core group experiences: realities, needs and
way forward. The program will reflect
the experience of the young people participating in this project.
