Lebanese American University Honours JOHUD Director

AMMAN — The Lebanese American University has awarded the Executive Director of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) Farah Daghestani an honourary doctorate in humanities.

The recognition comes in appreciation for Daghestani's role in leading the fund to achieving social and human development in the local community as well as promoting youth and women empowerment, a JOHUD statement said on Saturday.

The degree was awarded by university president Joseph Jabbra during the graduation ceremony of some 1,000 students from various specialisations.

Daghestani expressed her appreciation to the university's administration, saying that this certificate constitutes a motivation for further leadership and entrepreneurship efforts to enhance the social and human development of local communities across the Kingdom.

She reviewed the fund's progress in achieving positive social change based on comprehensive participation.
