Final Call for Princess Basma Award Entries

With less than one month to go before the closing date, the Princess Basma Award is calling on all qualified entrants to submit their final entries! Those who successfully enter their project/initiative into the competition before 3pm on the 28th February will get the chance to compete for prizes and recognition from HRH Princess Basma bint Talal and JOHUD, a small reward for some of the hardest working and deserving individuals in Jordan.
The Princess Basma Award was created to encourage innovation and excellence in the development sector by honouring the efforts of its most dedicated practitioners. 2016 marks the 5th year of the competition, which has seen ever-more impressive entrants submitting the most creative development projects year on year.
The theme of this year is civil society organisations and their ability to create positive change in local communities through creative initiatives. The award will be given to the civil society project/initiative that best helps Jordan to reach a sustainable development goal in the most innovative way. All entries must demonstrate that they are sustainable, replicable, gender-sensitive, and inclusive (amongst others). The project must also have been created more than 2 years ago or more and must still be running.
All qualified entries must be emailed to before 3pm, 28th February 2016. For more information, please visit our website at
